I got my fist guitar when I was 12, and it was my golden birthday. The only other person I knew who played was my buddy Steve Picha, he was a drummer. This band consisted of one guitar and one drummer. It didn't last long, but imagine the sound two adolescents who listened to Kiss, Rush, Led Zeppelin, you know the era. It was brutal. I played rhythm guitar in a band called Thin Ice. Then started playing bass because everybody is a guitar player. I was a founding member of the band Merlin that went well and lasted a few years. We hooked up with Jon soon after Merlin started, and I've worked with Jon ever since. After Merlin ended, Jon and I worked on an original project called Festus. It was a welcome challenge having been mostly in cover bands, but ideas and attitudes got in the way. What a surprise! Jon and I thought to ourselves, let's get another band together, and so, the birth of UNCLE CHUNK.

When I'm not Uncle Chunking, you can usually find me out on a lake or camping with my family and close friends. Top priorities: CD player, case of beer, fishing pole and tackle. I have two amazing boys who keep me busy and a wife I'd like to thank for putting up with me and the weekends I'm not always there. Thanks to everyone who supports us!
