I started playing drums just before my 15th birthday. One year after graduating from high school, I moved to the Twin Cities to attend Music Tech (McNally Smith) to further my musical aspirations. One year later, I graduated and received the Most Outstanding Student Award. I then filled in for numerous bands before joining Merlin in 1994. Nate (also in Merlin) and I formed Uncle Chunk in 1996. We (Uncle Chunk) have been playing 100 +/- shows per year for nearly 21 years.
